Screenshot capture instructions

The metainfo (data/org.bifrost.Ruv.metainfo.xml) references these files:

news.png - default screenshot: news feed with an article opened in the readable text view schedule.png - television schedule view with live playback visible

Capture from a running build (screenshots cannot be produced headlessly in the release pipeline):

  1. Build and run the app on a Wayland COSMIC session: cargo run --release --bin bifrost-ruv or install the Flatpak candidate and launch org.bifrost.Ruv.
  2. Use a 16:9 window (1600x900 recommended). Default COSMIC theme, no overlapping windows, real content loaded (not error/placeholder states).
  3. Capture each view with cosmic-screenshot (COSMIC's portal-backed screenshot tool; the PrtScn key invokes the same overlay): cosmic-screenshot --interactive --save-dir . Pick the window selection mode in the overlay and choose the RÚV window, then rename the saved file to the exact filename above in this directory. Keep PNG output (RGB, no alpha needed).
  4. Verify: appstreamcli validate apps/ruv/data/org.bifrost.Ruv.metainfo.xml (without --no-net) once the files are pushed to main, since the metainfo references the raw.githubusercontent.com URLs of these files.

Do not commit placeholder or mocked images; the screenshots must show the actual application.
