# AkurAI-Notes — Ideal State Artifact

## Goal
A self-hosted, pure-Rust note-taking app with semantic search, login via
AkurAI IDP, and an HTTPS MCP API — serving as part of the AkurAI suite.

## Vision
Notes you own. Search that finds. No SaaS, no third-party scanning, no bloated
frontend framework. One static musl binary, your data on your server.

## Principles
1. Zero external runtime dependencies (only AkurAI-Framework path-deps).
2. Privacy-first: on-device embeddings, never sent to external APIs.
3. Framework-native UI: no-build ESM SPA, SSR templates, AkurAI dark theme.
4. Everything logged in via AkurAI IDP, single-user (owner) for v0.0.x.
5. Lockstep versioning, Keep-a-Changelog, Framework deploy.sh release engine.

## Constraints
- Pure Rust. No axum, tower, tokio, serde, reqwest, base64, rusqlite.
- B+tree storage via akurai-storage (no SQLite, no Postgres).
- Embedding via separate llama-server process on loopback :8081.
- HTTPS MCP on second port :8100 with bearer-token auth.
